I had a chance to check out the live stream of the current TED conference yesterday, hosted by TEDx Raleigh.
NOTE: If you don’t know about TED, go check it out now.
One of the speakers was 18 year old Taylor Wilson, the youngest person ever to have created Nuclear Fusion. Which he did in his garage. Seriously.
Seriously?!?! I know, right!
Anyway, here’s a short video of Taylor speaking at TED last year. I’ll post his talk from today when it’s posted on the TED site.
So, what did I learn?
3 things:
1. Age isn’t a factor in your ability to change the world
2. We need to take time out of our busy schedule to think about the big stuff, the long-term
3. I need to do a better job of encouraging you and those around me to shoot for the stars
… or to try to build one in the garage!
